drop in d box

A Tsunami collection box (moulded in the distinct shape of Sri Lanka) to help Srilankan victims recover from Tsunami horrible hit. As more and more coins were dropped into the box, more and more water dripped out of the spout on its side. Well done! by McCann Erickson, India; sponsored by Western Union.

Stoning Ambient

BELT UP

So help us choose the logo for ACT4Q8's identity by telling us which one you like most. As mentionned in previous post (scroll down to read more), ACT4Q8 is in its preparation phase. Working on a logo for this new born project born out from the urgent need to move forward and evolve more responsibly in the community. Give us your feedback on what is already posted as different options, it will surely ease our job. you know who

Ad for a Belgium publication DE TIJD which portrays you know who. He was one hell of a public figure, wasn't he? We do miss him sometimes. Not bad of an ad, we like very much. Can't read bodycopy but the headline: "Should news be entertainment?" by LG&F agency - Belgium.

PLAYBOY UAE mode

We must aknowledge that this is a good one. For moral conduct & traditions' preservation surely but smartly. The Playboy infamous bunny reads "LA" lettering in Arabic, which means NO. Perfect Playful graphic twist. Puento. Below, the message read, "say NO to seduction in UAE". Actually, the word " ibahia' " translates more accurately to sexual enticement in reference to Eastern European girls invasion of the UAE specifically glittery Dubai. ;-D This is a public awareness ad from Al Bayan local newspaper. Well done Team Young & Rubicam. Perfect execution for an excellent idea. Illustrator: Wissam Hama Agency: TEAM/Y&R - UAE Creative Team: Sam Ahmed/Marc Lineveldt/Neil Walker-Wells/Wissam Hama

GHANDI bookstores

HIV reads "letters can change your life" XXX reads "letters are known to have explicit contents" for Ghandi bookstores / Mexico. YEP READING CAN DEFINITELY CHANGE YOUR LIFE...Keep eyes wide shut on books... We love these ads. Very appealing, very catchy, quite trippy too & somehow even poetic. What better way to encourage reading.. If you know, let us know. Meanwhile, Read read read.... For Gandhi Bookstores, Ogilvy & Mather agency in Mexico has done a great job. This campaign was submitted at Cannes Lions Award 2004 in Retail Stores category. Will try to look for more of this same series, coz they simply rock... Btw, entries for Cannes Lions Advertising Award are opened since Feb 2nd, and you can submit your ads online here

healthy organs

JUST DO IT! DONATE HEALTHY ORGANS. Nike says so. At least, this ad is way softer & possibly...maybe more convincing than the one below & since it falls under corporate identity & portrays Nike beliefs, it is well thought of. Two messages in one. Well done, Nike. But not sure, i'll do it. Although, i won't feel sh... coz will be elsewhere... Still, have to think of it! & will let you know... Advertiser : NIKE ARGENTINA Title: ORGAN DONOR Agency: BBDO ARGENTINA Copywriter: Pablo Alvarez Account Supervisor: Gonzalo Vecino Creative Director: Papon / Carlos Perez Illustrator Gonzalo Vecino Country: Argentina

strange world

Agency: OGILVY & MATHER FRANKFURT Advertiser: GERMAN RED CROSS Year: 2003 "The people of Iraq need weapons that don't kill". "The world spends billions on weapons that kill. Isn't it strange that we have to collect money for weapons that don't kill??" Indeed, IT IS!! PEOPLE ARE STRANGE!! N'est ce pas Morisson? THE WORLD IS STRANGE!! & I DOUBT WE WILL BE ABLE TO GET THE WHOLE PICTURE ONE DAY... LIFE IS A BEACH!! so, no worries... But, We MUST ACT.. Coz We DO CARE! Lets ignite what might lead to a potential breakthrough in the mind & a possible +movement in this mad race!!! Acting to make a difference, in this dog eat dog speedy frenzy world; Creating a twist in the air of Sandland by Creating Advertising for shit that matters. ACT4Q8 is just the start of it. The vision is total... Now, that's commitment to the future!

Donate! Will u?

Client: Vizoo Agency: Giovanni FCB Country: Rio De Janeiro "You'll be dead. It won't hurt. It will save people's lives. So donate your organs. Will you?" Above it reads, "C'mon don't be a jerk. You know that's not we're talking about". Clear no proper proofreading was made. No prob. But this is groce. Shocking is not convincing. Plz get it! & am the jerk here. So what?

family plan

A life insurance company campaign. It reads: "At least someone thinks of the family" for Family Plan. Appealing for sure but not sure convinced of saving money in case i die! Although we are a bonded & revolutionary (in spirit n' act) family. Try again... Later. The ads are cool! But there is something about financial companies...

drugs drag us down

Here is a local anti-drug campaign by a local ad agency Paragon-Kuwait; it won the golden award-category public services- in the very much controversial Pan-Arab competition, the KAAA (Kuwait Advertising Arabic Award), a new born in the region. This campaign was also showcased at the ACT (Advertising Community Together) exhibition in Cannes 2005. Only two agencies were part of ACT exhibition: Leo Burnett-Lebanon for Bahr Loubnan & Paragon with couple of entries dealing with public awareness issues. Sad, sad! Agency: Paragon IMC-Kuwait Creative Director: Louai AlAsfahani Illustrator: Primitivo G.Aguilar III-nicknamed Buboy Worth noting that Paragon was competing against itself at KAAA, since there was not one entry in this category from any other agency in the Arab World. Funny & sad at the same time. Isn't it?

Protect yourself

On est tous concernés par le SIDA. Protégez-vous! Nobody is safe from AIDS. Will be all caught up if we don't protect ourselves... Even supermen & superwomen. Believe it or not! More than 40 million people live with HIV in the world, nearly 26 million of them in Sub-Saharan Africa, according to the AIDS Epidemic Update from UNAIDS released in December 2005.
