Bloody Tasty Wine yet Soulless Creativity
Here is an ad for Lebanese wine Kefraya with the vine artistic rendering of Lebanon's map.
Copy reads: "the soul of a country in a fine wine" >> L'âme d'un pays dans un grand vin".
Although granted a Pikasso* Bronze in 2006, such concept is not far-fetched and has been applied to various products (two similar ones, featured on this blog , promote cars & alcohol ) and the most striking resemblance is the one for the Spanish wine designed by Tandem Campmany Guasch DDB, Spain- click for the proof.
Do we have to remind ourselves every once in a while -- so to justify 'anemic' creativity-- of that old adage....
"Great Minds......think alike"... We don't think that great and alike could cohabitate in any form.. Anyhow...
Best is to let Creativity roll wildly, as an avalanche would do; let the rage against "the ape movement" explode while it paves the way to a thunder of Originality, for God's Sake & dire powerful communication.

ARTVERTISING
Here are two different campaigns ("go-playground"; "wanna play") for Suzuki/Swift cars (by Pagès BBDO-Dominican Republic) where photoshop has been ditched to welcome a very interesting drawing. Try to look deeper to fetch for the details - click on image for a larger picture; it's quite pleasurable as well as cheerful plus you get really hooked... "Wanna play in that playground?" That's the Swift spirit and it's damn good!
Art in advertising is definetly taking the lead. However, these ads are very similar to Nike campaign posted on this blog down below and some others that we've seen and will get posted soon too. Though, it's quite normal that advertising finds inspiration from the arts and vice-versa..

At least, this ad is way softer & possibly...maybe more convincing than the one below & since it falls under corporate identity & portrays Nike beliefs, it is well thought of. Two messages in one.
Well done, Nike. But not sure, i'll do it. Although, i won't feel sh... coz will be elsewhere...
