Elephant trunk ???
I really don't see any resemblence to an elephant or a trunk for that matter i am sorry to say.
And what people rather see it as it's really up to them...isn't that what art is, seeing something in all it's light not just particals that we want to see?
It's a hand pointing the midlle finger any way you look at it.
And whats the msg he is sending i really don't get it...at all.
To add to that the execution and photography wasnt that good either i mean second place winner... funny.
I don't want to attack or insult anybody but i think am not the only one who shares this view it's pretty far fetched to assume that 99.99 % of the ppl think like you??? :)
All am saying that the "art work" did'nt deserve second place.
its Just 1 mans opinion...for now :)
And about the consultation maybe you can recommend somebody you are consulting yourself ;-)?
Peace

Congratulations to all.
The scale upon which the success of such a competition is measured is identified solely on the basis of its artistic merit. None of the works submitted to this exhibition were eliminated. In another word, it was an exhibition with a curatorial value, which reflected your community.
Competing truth is very much a part of individual references brought together by a group of people deciding on the amount of merit a certain work deserves. The works selected by us, the jury, had satisfied these references enough to deserve the prizes made available by the sponsors of this exhibition.
What the jury hopes, is that the next exhibition will shy away some of the corner cutters, so that collectively your community will present a body of work worthy of the unquestionable passion your organizer and sponsors have demonstrated. Being an artist is the deepest most secret wish of every human being, that they too were artist. Those who get to say at times: “ …I wish I could have done that...” (In accordance with an art work) have a grand soul. Yet those who say: “ …I could have done that…” don’t.

Dear All,

I would just like to remind you that this blog is designed to inspire creativity not shun it.
We love criticism and we welcome it, in fact, is that not how we can improve, grow and develop?
however we do not accept nastiness, which is what some people have displayed...there is a difference between being critical and being mean and abusive.

The whole point of all this is create FRIENDLY competition in a FRIENDLY environment.
And those of you who cannot accept this and cannot understand this simple concept...and you know who you are...well i think we have tried to show you that we are not interested in your comments, ideas or participation as you do not seem to be on the same wavelength as the rest of us, who deeply enjoy this level of creativity and inspiration.

Finally i would just like to apologise to all our loyal readers if this has offended you in any way...or any of the other comments posted by other people!!!
please keep logging on to our blog as we really value all the great comments and we hope that you enjoy it!!!
