Here is a local anti-drug campaign by a local ad agency Paragon-Kuwait; it won the golden award-category public services- in the very much controversial Pan-Arab competition, the KAAA (Kuwait Advertising Arabic Award), a new born in the region. This campaign was also showcased at the ACT (Advertising Community Together) exhibition in Cannes 2005. Only two agencies were part of ACT exhibition: Leo Burnett-Lebanon for Bahr Loubnan & Paragon with couple of entries dealing with public awareness issues. Sad, sad! Agency: Paragon IMC-Kuwait Creative Director: Louai AlAsfahani Illustrator: Primitivo G.Aguilar III-nicknamed Buboy Worth noting that Paragon was competing against itself at KAAA, since there was not one entry in this category from any other agency in the Arab World. Funny & sad at the same time. Isn't it?

Dear G,
I checked out the blog and I appreciate the positive comments on our ad; however, you accidentally forgot to mention that this same artwork won an international Bronze award at the "Summit international creativity awards" back in 2004 which funny enough we competed with the entire world and won. Sadly enough you should have remembered this positive fact as you have published our press release regarding this matter in a back dated issue of Arab Ad magazine.
U'll have to excuse me my friend since wasn't done on purpose of course. & anyway, plz note, & note it well, that we r not here to promote anyone!
Thk u for droppin' by.

Anyways, is it alright if I mail you some ads that "COULD'VE BEEN" winners(?)
Thanks, Zone!
